Jared T. Miller is the Media Manager for The Wall Street Journal’s video department, where he designs and streamlines the staff’s post-production workflows, administers the department’s archival Media Asset Management system, proposes and develops innovative uses of cloud storage solutions and SaaS production tools, and trains the newspaper’s global staff on the same.

Jared joined the Journal after working at The New York Times, where he was a breaking news video producer. Prior to that, he worked on several episodes of Vox’s “Explained” on Netflix and worked for several years as a video producer for New York Magazine (where he co-produced a documentary that won a National Magazine Award). Before working full-time in video, he spent his early career producing mini-documentaries while serving as a photo editor at Time, Newsweek, The Intercept, ABC News and other publications.

Most recently, Jared has been leveraging AI to create workflow efficiencies and enrich contextual metadata for WSJ’s archival footage.
